The May Meeting will be held at the East Bank Regional Library
on May 11th
Meeting time 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Pocket Page Book with Japanese Stab Binding
For our final meeting Georgia Baisier will guide us through the assemblage of a book with pockets and blank pages. This book can be used to hold the classwork from the past year. So bring your work to store in your completed book or decorate pages as you wish.
Materials List
Paper for Book Block (inside pages) will be provided for a Materials Fee.
NOLAA Members– No charge with a paid membership
Non-Members– $6.00
Participants must bring the following:
Paper for front & back covers–2 sheets of paper cut to size ( 8″ high x 12″ wide) It may be anything from paste paper, Canson, decorated paper, heavy wrapping paper to wallpaper. Anything suitable for a book cover. PLEASE PRE-CUT PAPER TO REQUIRED SIZE. Cut as accurately as possible.
Ribbon for binding to coordinate with cover paper: minimum 40″ long and approximately 1/8″ wide (length is calculated as 5 times the height of the cover).
Needle with a large eye that the ribbon will fit through (tapestry or bookbinding needle).
Bone Folder
1/8″ Hole Punch (if you have one)
Scissors
Ruler
Pencil & Eraser
2 Bulldog Clips (medium size)
Beads to embellish ends of ribbon (Optional)

As this is our final meeting of the year, we encourage everyone to share their work with us. Please bring any work from the past year as well as current work or work in progress. Scribe & Describe is always a great way to share ideas and encourage creativity.
