Yves Leterme Workshop

New Orleans Lettering Arts Association has the  pleasure of hosting  renowned Belgian calligrapher and lettering artist, Yves Leterme.

 Yves will begin his 2015 North American tour with two 2-day workshops in New Orleans.

I.  Drawn Capitals & Modern Versals – March 14 & 15 (Sat.& Sun.)

II.  From Formal to Gestural-lowercase Italic – March 16 & 17

                                                                                                  (Mon. & Tues.)

Cost for each 2-day workshop: NOLAA Members – $150.00

                                                         Non-members – $175.00

If registering for both workshops:  NOLAA Members – $250.00

                                                                 Non-members – $300.00

A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 per workshop is required to confirm your attendance.  See registration form for further details.

The workshop location is 1445 MacArthur Ave., Harvey, LA.

Calligraphy Classes

Several members of our guild offer Calligraphy Classes throughout the year.

Merry Christmas

Thanks to all who attended this year’s Christmas Party.  We had a wonderful time enjoying good food & even better company.  As you can see below the Christmas cards were unique & inventive.  We are blessed with a talented membership.

2014 December Meeting

It’s time for our annual Members Only Christmas card exchange and pot luck luncheon.  It will be held on December 13th  at 11:00 AM at Debbie Fleming’s house.

Don’t forget to bring a handmade card and a dish to share.  This is a great time to show off all the techniques you’ve been honing throughout the year.

We always look forward to this event so we can relax and catch up before the holidays.

IT’S A NEW YEAR AT NOLAA!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

Yes, it’s a new year at the New Orleans Lettering Arts Association!   And,oh! what a year it’s going to be!  We are planning 9 exciting mini workshops for almost every monthly meeting!  There will be something for everyone, regardless of skill level, at every meeting.

We are also hosting YVES LETERME for a major workshop in April 2015. (More info will be provided at a later date) Don’t forget, members get a significant discount on all workshops.

Of course that means that it is time to pay ANNUAL DUES !   The good news is that there’s still time for you to be included in a drawing for a FREE PARALLEL PEN!

Your dues must be postmarked by September 13th to be entered in the drawing to win a Parallel Pen in your choice of size!!!!!!!!
