July Calligraphy Class (update)

July Calligraphy Class (update)

The guild hosted an introduction to calligraphy class on July 14, 2012 and the response was overwhelming! There were more than 80 participants; that was double the anticipated turn-out.

The following is a ‘thank you’ to all who attended:

The New Orleans Lettering Arts Association and the Jefferson Parish Library wish to thank you for attending the beginning italic calligraphy class on July 14th. As you saw, the turnout was more than double what we expected & had purchased supplies for. We truly appreciated your patience while sharing the pens & supplies!

We want you to know that we are in the process of arranging the smaller classes as promised at the Library. Chris, the education director at the library, will be posting those for registrations as soon as we confirm the dates. We also want you to know that you are always welcome at NOLAA meetings on the 2nd Saturday of each month. The September meeting will be on Sept. 8th.

In the meantime, please visit our website, www.neworleanscalligraphy.org If you have any questions, feel free to email us at: neworleanscalligraphy@yahoo.com We’ve attached a membership application for those who may wish to join the guild & explore all the facets of the wonderful art of Calligraphy.

Again, we appreciate your attendance & your interest in our favorite art, Calligraphy!
